Julie Farrell is the founder of PlanHero®. After leaving the industrial laser industry to become a full-time mom and volunteer, she held executive board roles in a number of nonprofits in California. She was president of her local public school board, and has also been a room parent, a coach, a team mom, and a meals-on-wheels driver. PlanHero® is the culmination of her tech background, volunteer experience, and desire to make group organizing and scheduling simple for everyone. An avid traveler, she has bungee-jumped in New Zealand, crawled under Egypt’s pyramids, and has been lifted in an elephant’s trunk in Thailand. She’s been married to Mason since 1991 and has two grown sons.
